Where we work

Mississippi & western Alabama landowners

Southeast Forestlands is based in Meridian, MS and represents landowners across both states. The work is hands-on — every engagement starts with a property walk, a read on the stand, and a conversation about what you actually want the land to do over the next five, ten, and twenty years.

Coverage runs from the east-central Mississippi Pine Belt and Black Belt across the central, southwest, and northeast counties, then east into western Alabama from Lauderdale and Pickens down through Sumter, Marengo, Clarke, and Mobile counties. Full county lists live on the Mississippi coverage and Alabama coverage pages.

We answer the phone during business hours and return after-hours voicemail the next morning. When a tract is time-sensitive — storm damage, suspected trespass, an offer with a short fuse — say so when you call and we will reorder the day.

Quick answers

How fast do you respond?
Phone calls during business hours are answered live whenever possible. Voicemails and form submissions are returned by the next business morning. Urgent storm-damage and trespass situations get priority — say so when you call.
Do you charge for the first conversation?
No. The initial call or email is free. If the situation warrants a property walk, we will quote that step before scheduling. See the full FAQ for fee structures by service.
What information should I have ready when I call?
County, approximate acreage, a rough sense of the stand (planted pine, natural hardwood, cutover), and what triggered the call — a buyer's offer, a storm, a closing, an estate, or general planning. Maps, deeds, and prior management plans help but are not required.
Do you represent buyers or mills?
No. Southeast Forestlands works for landowners only. We do not buy timber, broker logs, or take commissions from buyers or mills — the independence is the product.
